Letter

Dear Harsha,

How are you? How were your university exams? What plans do you have now? It’s been a long time. I saw a couple of old school pictures and I thought of writing to you. We did have a gala time in school. I really miss those days. We were so carefree! Do you remember the song we’d made up about our names rhyming? God, that was so silly! We’ve lost touch mainly because I left Bahrain and came here to Mumbai, and obviously the both of us got very busy with our own things. So I thought I’d fill you in with what’s been happening with me since the 12th.

I joined Ruia to study Economics. It wasn’t the happiest option, but it was a practical one. I was decently interested in it. I’m glad I went through with it. It was pretty interesting! The friends I made there are probably the nicest and craziest. I’ve probably had the most memorable moments of my life with them.

Oh! My family and I went to Kenya last year! It was the best experience! We saw animals in their natural habitat. The way they’re supposed to be, free and wild. It was awesome! Vineet enjoyed the trip! (He’s all grown up now. You saw him last when he was only about four years old.)

So that was last year, and then this year there were the UNIVERSITY exams, which were pretty rough. Our last paper got postponed by a MONTH. So it was rotten! But I did go away for a one week trip to Coorg in that gap. Coorg was super duper awesome, getting away from the Mumbai heat was such a relief! The rest of the time I was giving various entrances.

Once I came back, the second round of the entrances started and I finally got through to Sophia’s! I was so happy! The course is crazy intensive. They’ve crammed two years worth into one year so you can imagine! I’m a little more than two weeks into the course, and it’s great! I’m meeting so many people from all over the country. It’s like a melting pot of cultures. We’re all getting to know each other and it’s awesome! I do miss those lazy doing nothing, but that’s fine, we all have to grow up. Life is going to be all about working our butts off from now.

So anyway, that’s pretty much it for now. Reply sooooooon. I really miss you!Take care.

Love,
Natasha
