Dear Janushe,
Hi cutie-pie, how are you? It’s been almost ten years since I talked to, heard from or saw you last. But I still remember you as the extremely polite, sincere and warm classmate. It is so poignant how we have lost touch since such a long time, especially so, as it is a huge paradox to our earlier relationship of being the pair of class monitors through the years, sharing snacks from each other’s lunch boxes, rushing off to each other’s houses on weekends and what not! Life was like sharing a cake till sixth grade and then your parents made the sudden decision of shifting from the city and since we were so young then and also because connectivity was not such a fad back then, we just lost touch. Anyway, I guess enough of the old school nostalgia, let me tell you something much livelier…… Let me tell you how my life has shaped up.
I, obviously, continued by schooling in Kabir, right up to 12th grade (oh btw, I took up Science and PCB, i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Biology after 10th), after which, I did B.Sc. in Zoology from St. Xavier’s College. Life in college was a wholly different experience, mainly because of the fantastic group of friends I made. What I’m pursuing now is however a completely different field, a field that’s giving me immense satisfaction and lots of creative space. I’m doing my post-graduate diploma in mass communication from Sophia College, Bombay. I’m so looking forward to my first job and my first salary I am still in touch with my school friends. In fact, as I grew up, I realized how huge a part of my life is constituted of and devoted to my friends. I’m still the same old girl who loves a lot of girly stuff, who can sleep, eat, drink and practically live with a novel in hand, who loves travelling and adventure, who is extremely emotional and a very faithful friend…I’m still the same ‘Saloni’ u knew then!
I’d really love to hear from you, everything about what’s going on in your life, what you have done so far, how you have changed…just everything! Miss the good old days!
Lots of love,
Saloni
