It’s been a while since I last spoke to you. It’s a pity we haven’t kept in touch, ever since you moved to Bangalore. I should have written to you sooner .But, I guess its better late then never.
I got down to writing to you as soon as I heard the good news. It isn’t everyday that a girl from Goa makes it into the IAS .We are extremely proud of you! Am sure your family must be squealing with delight, especially Sonia .Please send me all the details.
A lot has happened over the year. For starters I have move to Mumbai and enrolled my self in the Social Communications Media course here. I am really enjoying it although it does get a little stressful ever so often. I just had to write to you .You have always been an inspiration to me. Your consistent encouragement in our years together has had a major influence on my decision to move to Mumbai. I never really thanked you for that .As I write this letter I remember our crazy days together .Gallivanting on the streets, building the tree house in the summer holidays..I wish we could turn back time.
Anyway back to the present.I am staying in the Sophia Hostel. Its amazing here. My roommate ‘s and I have already done a bit of exploring .The contrast between the rich and the poor is startling .Its really hard to get it all to sink in .I am enjoying the buzz everyone from the city speaks about .
I hope to get a reply soon .Immediately in fact .As you can see I haven’t left my impatience back home.
