Khushali P Madhwani

Hey Giri,
Hope this letter finds you in great spirits. It has been centuries since I last heard from you. Just the other day I was thinking of our class 9 days when all fourteen of us created so much hungama. Back then, life seemed impeccable and we would do anything to stop time. Today when I look back, I wish time had stopped. I miss having you around. Also, miss having you around drafting the pros and cons of situations.
I’m in Mumbai now. I did ISC in Sophia School, Bangalore. Then I went on to do Communication studies in Mount Carmel College. Now, I’m in Sophia Polytechnic in Mumbai doing post graduation in media studies. I’ve been here for around three weeks now and I love it so far. Time here just flies. It is hard living out of home. I miss not being home and having everything at my beck and call. But, I’ve made amazing friends here and the whole idea of living with people who you begin to discover from scratch is fabulous, particularly when everyone is from different states. My roommates are great fun. Like how I helped you figure out your life and put it into order, I help my roommates organize themselves.
Enough I’ve said about myself. I can write a book about my past few years that you missed but I’ll leave that for when we meet. I hope soon. I used to bump into your sister at restaurants in Bangalore while you were in Delhi. How are Mom and Dad? What’s your scene now? When do I get to see you?
The first person I thought of when this letter writing assignment came up was you. With the busy lives we all claim to have, we hardly get to say hi to each other. But, I shall take this as a starting step and make it a point to write to you at least once a month.
Anyway, I’m out of here now. You better keep in touch. Give all at home my love. Hope to see you very soon. Take care.
Love,
Khushali
